Wedgwood Community Church offers many opportunities for
spiritual growth.
If you're interested in any of the opportunities listed

Inquirer's
Class
The
Inquirer's Class is for those of you who are new to Wedgwood Community
Church. The class helps orient individuals to the structures and traditions
of the church, the history and policies of Baptists, and basically how we
"do church." It is also a chance to get to know the others in the church,
and to answer any questions you might have. A light meal will be provided afterward. Childcare will
also be provided. Contact the church for the date and time of the next
Inquirer's Class.
Soup for the Soul
Soup for
the Soul meets every Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Soup for the
Soul is a weekly gathering for Bible reflection, where we enjoy a light meal
of soup followed by reflection and dialog on the lectionary text for the
week. Come hear what the Holy Spirit is saying through the word of God.
Childcare is provided.
Monthly Seminar
Wedgwood
Community Church offers a monthly lecture on a timely topic, usually
following our potluck lunch on the third Sunday of the month.
Faith
Connections
Faith
Connections is a weekly opportunity to gather in a small, in-home grouping
to discuss faith as it pertains to our daily lives. We usually meet on
Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at select homes. Contact the church for
information on this week's location.
Faith Connections is currently
studying a video series called Faith Lessons on the Promised Land.
This is an interesting program that has stimulated many lively discussions.
Filmed on location in Israel by Focus on the Family Films, Faith Lessons is
a unique video series that brings God's Word to life with astounding
relevance. By weaving together the Bible's fascinating historical, cultural,
religious, and geographical contexts, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan
reveals keen insights into Scripture's significance for modern believers.
Bible Study
Every
Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. we gather to study books of the Bible and its
application to and incorporation into our lives.
Bible Study is
currently on hiatus, but will return on September 14 when we begin
studying the book of Zechariah.
Children's
Church
Children’s
church class is offered for preschool and elementary aged children, and
meets in the children’s classroom during sermon time. Our goals are to
encourage children to connect to God’s love for them and to enjoy the
adventure of being part of the family of God. Our children enjoy familiar
Bible stories, quality Christian children’s literature, and experiential
learning as they learn about God’s love for us through art, music, drama and
play.
Keeping Your Children Safe
Wedgwood
Community Church has adopted a child abuse prevention policy in its effort
to help safeguard our children. We take your trust and your children’s
safety very seriously. Our policy addresses worker selection and
supervision, reporting obligations and procedures, and response to
allegations. All our workers have, at minimum, a six-month relationship with
our church, and have undergone background checks and have attended training
in our policies and procedures. To obtain a printed copy of our child abuse
prevention policy, please ask any of our teachers or the pastor.
